What's In The Lake

John Wilsons Fishery boasts a large stock of varied specimen size fish.

With over 30 species to catch there is something for everyone.  Whether you're after one of our enormous catfish or arapaima, to target our carp stocked to over 100lb or just want to experience a full day of action of mixed species you'll be sure to have a memorable trip with us.

The late John Wilson MBE was extremely proud of the stocking of his lake and we have continued to enhance this by carefully sourcing and adding on a regular basis more specimen sized fish as well as introducing additional mixed species.

In particular we are famous for our stock of hard fighting Siamese Carp which grow to over 100lb and we hold arguably the largest collection of specimen sized Amazon Redtail Catfish which grow to over 75lb.

Below is a sliding gallery showing just some of our species.   Simply click on the thumbnail or navigation arrow to scroll through the images and hover over the main image to see more details.

A list of the species in the lake can be found below.   We are always adding new and exciting fish so follow our social media pages to see the news as it happens!
